When the Camaro was unveiled in 1966, it was meant to be a competitor with the Ford Mustang. Now the Camaro stands in a class all its own as the J.D. Power’s “Most Dependable Midsize Sporty Car Five Years In A Row.” The 2018 Chevy Camaro looks athletic, drives smoothly, and is extremely affordable for someone who is in the market for a sports car. We are certain that once you get behind the wheel of this sixth generation Camaro and feel the roar of the engine, you’ll be dying to take this car to the track every weekend.
Ready to Perform
We know that when someone is in the market to purchase or lease a sports car, one of the main things they are concerned with is its ability to perform. The 2018 Chevy Camaro comes with four incredible powertrain options for the engine. The first option is a 2.0L Turbo that provides 275 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine will get you from 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds and comes standard on Camaro LS and LT. The LS and the LT also have the option to be upgraded to a 3.6L V6 engine. This upgraded engine puts out 335 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque and can go from 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds. Now let’s talk about the V8s. The Camaro SS comes standard with a 6.2L LT1 V8, which provides 455 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque and can go from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds flat, but that’s not all. The Camaro ZL1 comes standard with a Supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 that pumps out a whopping 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain option comes with a 1.7L Eaton supercharger and can get you from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds. Now that’s fast!
Customize Your Camaro
The ability for customization doesn’t stop there. Want to feel the wind blowing through your hair while you simultaneously press the pedal to the floor and let that V8 roar? Then the Camaro Convertible may be the car for you. It has the same roof line as the Camaro Coupe, and it also comes with a fully automatic soft-top that effortlessly retracts with the push of a button. Or maybe you used to have the Orange Crush colored Hot Wheels version of the Camaro and now you want a life-sized model? Well, you’re in luck. To celebrate 50 years of these die-cast dream cars, we decided to combine the iconic Hot Wheels design with the elegance of the sixth-generation Camaro. And if you thought that we couldn’t make the 2018 Chevy Camaro any sportier, you were wrong.
Drive Like You Mean It
The 1LE and ZL1 coupes come with what we like to call The Performance Data Recorder (PDR), which allows your car to analyze your performance while you are driving. This feature can record in real-time (audio and video) and up to 34 channels of performance data. There are three different modes: Track, Sport, and Performance that will overlay various amounts of performance data onto your drive video. Some of this data includes speed, rpm, throttle and braking, g-force, and lap times. This is perfect for the car owner that is looking to improve their driving and hone their skill.
